About Us

PRASUDHA Apiculture Foundation “Nurturing Bees, Sustaining Nature” Prasudha Apiculture Foundation is a not-for-profit organization registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, dedicated to promoting scientific and sustainable apiculture, environmental conservation, agricultural development, biodiversity conservation, and inclusive rural prosperity across India. We firmly believe that honey bees are among nature’s most valuable pollinators and play an indispensable role in maintaining ecological balance, conserving biodiversity, strengthening climate resilience, and enhancing agricultural productivity. Nearly 75% of the world’s food crops depend, either fully or partially, on pollination by bees and other pollinators. Consequently, beekeeping extends far beyond honey production—it is a strategic catalyst for food security, sustainable agriculture, ecological resilience, environmental conservation, and rural economic transformation. Driven by this vision, the Prasudha Apiculture Foundation empowers farmers, women, youth, tribal communities, and socially and economically disadvantaged groups through scientific beekeeping education, capacity building, technical advisory services, entrepreneurship development, and enterprise support. Our mission extends beyond imparting technical skills; we are committed to nurturing confident entrepreneurs, strengthening rural enterprises, enhancing household incomes, generating dignified employment opportunities, and building resilient rural economies through sustainable apiculture. By integrating beekeeping with modern, climate-smart agricultural practices, we help improve crop productivity, crop quality, and farm profitability through effective pollination services. We also promote the production, quality assurance, value addition, processing, branding, and marketing of premium bee products—including honey, beeswax, bee pollen, propolis, royal jelly, bee venom, and other value-added apiculture products—thereby creating sustainable business opportunities, strengthening the rural bio-economy, and expanding market access for beekeepers. Our initiatives are founded on scientific knowledge, research, innovation, environmental responsibility, and evidence-based development. Working in close collaboration with government agencies, agricultural universities, research institutions, industries, civil society organizations, and local communities, we implement programmes focused on skill development, entrepreneurship promotion, research and innovation, knowledge dissemination, institutional strengthening, policy advocacy, and sustainable growth of the apiculture sector. At Prasudha Apiculture Foundation, we believe that genuine and inclusive development is achieved by empowering vulnerable communities through education, skills, innovation, health, environmental stewardship, and sustainable economic opportunities. Accordingly, every programme we undertake is guided by the principle of creating a harmonious balance between people, pollinators, agriculture, and nature, ensuring long-term social, economic, and environmental sustainability. Beekeeping makes significant contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It supports No Poverty (SDG 1) by creating sustainable livelihoods, Zero Hunger (SDG 2) through improved agricultural productivity and food security, Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3) through nutritious bee products and healthier ecosystems, Gender Equality (SDG 5) by empowering women through income-generating opportunities, Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8) through rural entrepreneurship, Climate Action (SDG 13) by strengthening ecosystem resilience, and Life on Land (SDG 15) by conserving biodiversity and supporting healthy terrestrial ecosystems. Honey bees also serve as important bio-indicators of ecosystem health, helping monitor environmental changes and ecological sustainability. Our long-term vision is to establish beekeeping as a transformative force for sustainable rural development and a national movement for pollinator conservation across India. By building a nationwide network of skilled, responsible, and environmentally conscious beekeepers, strengthening pollinator-friendly landscapes, and promoting scientific apiculture as a pillar of sustainable agriculture, we aspire to create a greener, healthier, more resilient, and prosperous India—where people and nature thrive together for generations to come.

PRASUDHA Apiculture Foundation is a socially committed, non-profit organization dedicated to the holistic development of individuals and communities. Established on 25th Feb 2026 with the vision of creating a balanced and inclusive society, the foundation works at the grassroots level to address social, educational, health, women empowerment and environmental challenges.

We believe that true development is possible only when every individual has access to basic needs, equal opportunities, and a dignified life. Through awareness programs, direct community engagement, and collaborative partnerships, Ekamdheya Social Foundation strives to bring sustainable and long-term social change.
